Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHARINE (KATHY) ELIZABETH BUTLER (nee SCOTT) June 21, 1954 - November 5, 2013 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Katharine Elizabeth Butler on November 5, 2013 at St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 59 years. She was predeceased by her father Robert Scott, stepfather Robert Brown and brothers-in-law Jim Corrigan and Michael Butler. Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband John, children Jennifer and Scott, mother Molly Brown, her sisters Diane Scott-Bernard, Susan Reinelt (Eric), Sandra Corrigan, Heather Brown (Lexroy), her brother Tim Brown (Corrie), her numerous nieces and nephews and her brothers and sisters-in-law. Kathy was born on June 21, 1954 in Owen Sound, Ontario. She graduated from Hornepayne High School in 1972. She went on to nursing school at Perry Sound General Hospital and graduated in 1974. She was an LPN for almost 40 years, spending the last 20 years of her career working at the Grace General Hospital in Winnipeg. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette's Church, 820 Cottonwood Rd. Viewing will take place on Tuesday, November 12 from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Her family would like to extend their appreciation to the Palliative Care staff at St. Boniface General Hospital and the staff of CancerCare Manitoba for their kind and compassionate care. A special thank you goes out to the staff and coworkers at the Grace General Hospital for their support throughout the past two years and our friends and family. John, Jennifer and Scott, Ww are so sorry for your loss. Kathy was a very wonderful lady. We always enjoyed getting together with all of you. Our condolences go out to John and his children. Kathy was a gracious and courageous lady and gave me inspiration to continue my fight.
