ARTHUR J. FINDISH It is with profound sorrow that we must announce the sudden passing of Art Findish on November 7, 2013. Art was predeceased by his father Andrew, mother Ann, father-in-law Art Fiola, mother-in-law Jeannette Fiola, and brother-in-law Maurice Fiola. Art is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 42 years, Lucille (or Lucy as he called her), his beloved children Danielle, Andre, and precious granddaughter Britney. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Gertrude Fiola, Simone Katsabanis (Sam), Florence Chaput, Lilliane Fiola, and brother-in-law Roger Fiola (Barb Saindon). He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Paul Fiola; Debbie Morgan (Bob) and their children Jacob and Michael; James Katsabanis; Peter Katsabanis (Monica); Daniel Chaput (Emma) and their children Sarah and Samuel; Robert Chaput; Charles Fidler (Kim) and their children Hudson and Nelson; Sarah and Janelle Curry. Art was born on March 10, 1939 in Winnipeg. Always proud of his North End roots, Art started in sales when he was 13 years old, selling newspapers at Portage and Main. When he left school he worked for a time with Via Rail, working his way up from dishwasher to Steward. After meeting Lucy he switched to selling farm equipment briefly, then switched to heavy equipment. He enjoyed meeting new people and the challenge that involved sales. No one remained a stranger for Art, he enjoyed chatting up the neighbourhood, and comparing notes on lawn care. Family was very important to Art, he was particularly happy when we could all be together doing something that he treasured such as boating at the cottage in Lake of the Woods, the vacations in Maui or Mexico, or just sharing a meal with the entire family. The ultimate was to have his son, granddaughter or friend enjoy a Blue Bomber game with him - a team he supported feverishly. Funeral mass will be Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., in St. Bernadette's Parish, 820 Cottonwood, officiated by Father Fred Olds, an interment to follow at a later date. Papa, you will forever be in our hearts and will forever be missed. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
