Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBOYD (BOY) FABIA May 12, 1946 - November 9, 2013 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful death of our beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather, with his family by his side. Boyd has joined his father and mother in eternal life on November 9, 2013. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Wenifreda; children Richard (Kathleen), Gerald and Kim (Bill); grandchildren that he was very proud of, Denzel, Ashley, Noah and Lennox Boyd; his siblings, Cristy and Dennis, along with numerous family and friends in Canada, United States and Philippines. Boyd was born in Bicol, Philippines on May 12, 1946. He immigrated to Winnipeg, MB Canada in 1976 to start a new life for his family. He enjoyed working at CN Symington Yard from February 1979 and proudly retired in September 2009. He loved spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. He loved listening to all genres of music, enjoyed gardening and loved to cook, which he was very well known for. Boyd had a heart of gold and always had a smile on his face. Anyone who crossed his path instantly fell in love with his energy and his contagious laugh. He will be truly missed by all. Viewing/Lamay will take place Friday and Saturday, November 15 and 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Resurrection Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 505 Brewster Street. Our family would like to give a special thank you to all the doctors and staff at CancerCare Manitoba and especially to the 8A Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for all the love and support they showed Boyd and our family through his journey. Ang Masasabi ko po sa kanya ay napakabait at napaka sipag na tao,at nung kami pumunta sa Canada todo asikaso sa amin ng akin asawa na pinagluluto kami ng masasarap na pagkain,, at napakagalang na tao..Palagi nya po sinasabi nung nabubuhay pa siya na magpagaling kami parehas ng sa ganun magkaroon pa kami ng pagkakataon na magkita muli.. we met the FABIA family when we moved to trascona, we became close friends, BOYD is a good family man, caring, loving, he enjoyed playing with kids, boyd loved cooking and a good one, specially with coconut milk. you can count on boyd for help anytime.
