HERMANN JOSEF BOEHNER (JOE) It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Joe Boehner on Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Joe will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Elga, their two daughters Linda and Connie, sons-in-law Glenn and Robert, and grandchildren Sean and Risa. He will also be remembered by his brother Dieter, sister Hedi, his in-laws, their families, and many friends. Joe immigrated to Canada in 1956 where he met the love of his life, Elga. They married in 1959 and lived in Winnipeg where they raised their family. Joe was a quiet, contemplative man with great integrity, who believed in following his passions, spending time with his family, instilling in them the importance of honesty, loyalty, and tenacity. He was an avid outdoorsman, and turned his passion for hunting and fishing into his life's work. His art of taxidermy is well known, collected and displayed throughout North America and Europe. Joe was also very generous, volunteering much of his time to the St. Hubertus Game and Fish Association. Cottage life was close to his heart and family and friends will cherish many lasting memories spent there together. A gathering of Family and Friends to celebrate Joe's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2013 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A private family interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A special thank you to the staff of Concordia Hospital for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may donate in memory of Joe to the Canadian Cancer Society. Family and friends wishing may also sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
