MARY (MAE) MUSTY (nee SIMPSON) 1916 - 2013 Peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2013 with family by her side, Mae passed away at Oakview Place at the age of 97 years. Predeceased by her husband Tom in 1994, her parents George and Elizabeth Simpson and brother Jack. Mae is survived by her daughter Margaret (Ken) Sirkis, children Glen, Leanne (Ryan) Sillers; son Tom; and daughter Lorna Simpson, children Jeff Seney (Karen Boden) and Erin (Rob) Gale, also survived by her six great-grandchildren Hadyn and Ashlyn Gale, Savannah, Faith, Ian and Isla Seney. She also leaves behind her sisters Alma Brose of Vancouver and Edna Innes of Minneapolis. Mae was born in Winnipeg on May 1, 1916. She married her beloved Tom on September 13, 1941. They were married for 53 years. Mae lived in Norwood most of her life. Besides her family Mae was involved with Norwood Presbyterian Church for many years. She bowled with the Prince Edward Ladies bowling league for 45 years. She loved to cook, bake, sew and knit. All the grandchildren loved her handmade hats, scarves, mitts and Halloween costumes, plus matching outfits for their dolls. Mom was a kind, caring and positive mother. Mom, we all love you and will miss you dearly. A very special thank you to the fantastic staff on 1 North at Oakview Place. The care and support you gave mom and our family will never be forgotten. You are our "angels on earth". In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, or to Oakview Place, 2395 Ness Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 1A5, attention: Unit 1 North Memory Lane.
