CODY BRYDGES Forever in our Hearts He is not with us but never absent. What we have lost can never be returned to us. He has no place to go. Nothing to fear. Nothing to hold on to. Nothing to continue. Nothing to desire and he can't witness our new way of loving him. We think about how he fearlessly rode the dog. We think about how fanatical he was about neatness. We think about how he was saving his Lego for his children. We think about the hundreds of kisses he put on homemade birthday cards. We think of street hockey on a school night being a privilege to him. We think of how he used to say that his mom liked music by some guy named "ELVIS." We think about how he loved putting new things together and keeping the box. We think about how he loved to videotape us at our worst moments. We are the keepers of all of these memories but memories have the tendency to ambush you. His whole life was left to us in his personal things. He deserved to live. We deserved to have him. His name can alter any moment. We want him to fly high and free but stay here with us. We let go but hold on to him at the same time. Today we treasure and celebrate his uniqueness. Cody's Family
