HENRY (HANK) GOSSELIN Henry Gosselin passed away November 25, 2013. Henry was born November 2, 1934 in Fort Frances, Ontario. He leaves to mourn his wife of 56 years Verona, his daughter Cheryl Lynn (Randy) Woroniuk, his son Tracy M (Gail) Gosselin, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother Edward (Dorothy) and sisters Judy (Herman) Karpinen and Joyce Gosselin. He was predeceased by his parents Ovide and Eva (Ouelette) Gosselin of Fort Frances, Ontario. Henry grew up in Fort Frances, Ontario and attended Fort Frances High School, where he met his best friend, Verona. They married in August 1957. He helped his father delivering ice in the late 1940s and 1950s. He joined CN Rail in 1953 and worked in various locations on the Prairie Region as a Yardman, Yardmaster, General Yardmaster, Trainmaster and manager of Crew Management Centre. He retired in 1988 as a Trainmaster. He enjoyed RVing and fishing at their favourite place, Blue Lake, with his wife. Golfing and hunting were his passions. There are special memories of hunting and fishing with his grandchildren. Hank was an active member as Treasurer and Manager of the Gateway Club and the CN Pension Association. His passion was hockey. He played many years in Fort Frances and became a member of the first Junior team in Fort Frances with the Jaycees and won three consecutive years. He played with the Winnipeg Old Timers League in Winnipeg for several years. Cremation has taken place. In respect to Henry's wishes, a private interment for immediate family will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Rescue Siamese Cat Shelter, 960 St. Mary's Rd., Winnipeg, Manitoba R2M 3R8, in Henry's honour.   • The club will never be the same without Hank. Hank saved the club and made it a second home for many of its members. I will always miss the phone calls and long chats, especially when the phone would ring for a second or third time only to hear the familiar ... just one more thing.   • We got to know Hank when he was acting as executor for his friend Gary. We found out he had a trailer at Wild Oaks and were just getting to know Hank. He invited us to the gun club and were looking forward to going there with him next year. Also looking forward to seeing him again at Wild Oaks next season.
