Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELINE FONTAINE (nee LAGASSE) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Eveline Fontaine, at the age of 90, on December 1, 2013 with her family by her side. Mom was born and raised on a farm in St. Adolphe, MB and came from a large family of 15 which included 10 brothers and four sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her children Laurette (Eugene), Denise (Don), Leo (Diane), Lena (Marcel), Marcel (Betty), Gisele (Gerald), Henri (Kathryn), and Pauline (Donnie), 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, her sisters Donalda and Claudette, her brothers Edgar, Richard, Roland and Marcel. Mom was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Andre, in 2004, her infant son Marcel in 1947, her brothers Denis, Osias, Armand, Leonidas, Raymond, Johnny, and her sisters Marie-Ange and Rolande. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to honour our mother can make a donation to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family would also like to thank the staff at Actionmarguerite Foyer Valade for taking care of Mom in her final year. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Norbert Parish Church located at 80 St. Pierre Street in St. Norbert. A private family interment will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

I am so sorry to hear of ma tante Eveline's passing. There is a certain sadness that is especially felt with the loss of a parent or child that cannot be described. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear mom. Through friendship with Henri, I got to know a great and Loving family! Your entire family was an example to all families and as families should be... a place to gather, a place to share and a place where memories live on. That family could not have been without your Loving Mom and Dad who lived life in faith that God was there watching over all of you. Sorry to my mom, and all my aunts and uncles on the loss of Grandma. I will always remember The Christmas dinners she would make for the whole family, how she always fed everyone then herself. My dearest Grandma, I was so sorry to hear of your passing. Your loss has left a hole in our hearts. We were so very lucky to have had you in our lives. I remember the huge wonderful garden in the back yard, as well as the amazing hot summers at the beach, when we visited you as a child. You were a great cook, making the best peas in cream sauce as well as your famous meat pies… These are by far some of my best memories growing up. Thank you for all you did for us. You will be dearly missed ... but I know you are with Grandpa now just as you would want….. but know you are loved from all across the country. Thank you Grams. Love you.
