DONNA MARY-ANN WASS It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Mary-Ann Wass on December 5, 2013 at the age of 53. Donna was born on June 24, 1960 in Norway House, MB. She was predeceased by her parents Carl and Ila Elizabeth Wass and her brother Ronnie. Donna leaves to mourn her husband of 28 years Wayne Johnstone, sister Carol (Patrick), brother Tory, brother-in-law Jerry (Jan), mother-in-law Patty, brother-in-law Tom (Connie), sister-in-law Paula, niece and nephews Cheryl, Dean and Devin, as well as many cousins and friends. Donna was employed by Manitoba Pool Elevators for 23 years and later started her own business. Donna had many passions. She was an active competitor in 10-pin bowling and secretary of the WWBA. She loved all sports, was an avid golfer, loved to garden and had a special love for cats. The family would like to thank the women in Donna's Tuesday Cancer Support Group and the staff of Grace Hospital 4th Floor Post Acute Neurological Surgery Unit (PANSU) for their care and compassion. A service to celebrate Donna's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagomodière Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Donna's memory to CancerCare MB.   • I knew Donna from my previous marriage. We were all very good friends, and Donna and I had many good conversations and fun times at the bowling alley and other events. Donna had a lovely disposition, and a calm nature about her. I am very saddened to hear of her passing. My deepest sympathy to Wayne and the family.   • Wayne....Carol and all family. I was very saddened by the news of Donna's passing. I worked at Manitoba Pool Elevators for 28 years and knew Donna for all of these years...she actually started her career there in my department. I always loved her calm and quiet demeanour and willingness to try anything. She always had solid relationships with all the staff and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
