CAROLYN ADELE SCOTT (nee UNWIN) March 6, 1942 - January 20, 2014 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend on Monday, January 20, 2014, at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 71 years. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ron, her children Leanne (Denis) Tsai, Paul (Adrie), Jodi Lambert, Gary (Rachelle), and her biggest joys, her grandchildren Cassandra, Mitchell, Rebecca, Jessica, Jacob, Iain and Owen. She will be greatly missed by her "sister" Linda (Doug) Davidson, her godchild Kelly Davidson, and best friend Jean Bialek. Carol attended Holy Cross School and St. Mary's Academy (University of Manitoba) where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts. She met the love of her life Ron and they married on May 23, 1964. She worked at Great West Life until they started their family. Carol was a full time homemaker dedicating her time to raising her family. Once her children were in school full time, she worked as a teacher's aide at General Vanier School. Carol enjoyed the family cottage at Brereton Lake, knitting for her loved ones, card games with family, attending her grandchildren's events and especially coffee with the neighbourhood ladies. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2014 at St. Bernadette's Catholic Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. with Rev. Fr. Kevin Bettens presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Boniface Foundation, Cardiac Services, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6 would be appreciated.
