We are very saddened to hear of Ray's passing. A gentle soul indeed, and then there was that twinkle in his eye. We have known Ray for 35 years in the Whiteshell. He always showed his concern for the area and was a great neighbour. I will miss my golf buddy in Beausejour, and our "long" (not!) emails arranging tee times. Ray loved his golf and loved his curling, but most of all it was obvious that he loved his family. Ray kept me updated on his children and grandchildren's progress, during our golf games. Ray, you will be sorely missed. We cannot attend the celebration of Ray's life but please know that you are all in our hearts. To lose a life-long friend like Ray is hard to understand. I have known Ray since we were 13 y.o. and his parents moved from Elmwood to the true north-end of Winnipeg. Ray and I met at Luxton School and we were fortunate enough to play hockey for our beloved Carruthers Habs. I will miss our coffee times at Tims and the Forks. Doreen and family our prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Gary and Shirley Whyte - Posted by: gary whyte (life-long friend) on: Jan 30, 2014
