JACK FRANK ALFRED BARRINGER 1926 - 2014 With his loving wife of 63 years by his side, holding his hand and looking into his big blue eyes, dad took his last breath and passed away peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2014. To celebrate his memory, he leaves behind his loving family: his wife Wanda, his children Keri Barringer, Lori Riedle (Ernie), Dean Barringer (Marnie) and Dane Barringer (Lisa), as well as all of his grandchildren who brought him endless amounts of joy, pride and laughter: Kelsey, Calan, Haley, Sean, Miranda, Sara and Jordan. So many memories were created at the family cottage at Red Rock Lake that we will always treasure. Countless days of laughing, fishing, swimming and tubing with the kids and sitting on the dock enjoying life, basking in the sun having a cold one with his family. We are left with beautiful memories of our father built by his humour, hands and wisdom. Our heartfelt thanks to the kind, caring and compassionate staff at Riverview Health Centre who ensured he was comfortable in his final days. The celebration of his life will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. If friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Jack to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9. The Barranger Family. I am sory for your loss. I worked with Jack in the mid-50's at Westeel Wpg., where he impressed me with his leadership, team motivation and strong ethics. Qualities that I always admired in him and worked hard to emulate. - Posted by: Richard Baspaly (Co-worker) on: Feb 19, 2014

Our sincerest condolences to you, Wanda, Dane, Dean, Keri, Lori, Marnie, Ernie, and all of your families. We are all so saddened for your loss. Jack was such a warm spirit and I loved growing up beside you at the lake and getting to know Jack more as I became an adult. He always had a smile for us and the kids, and he will be sadly missed by every one of the Evans family. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with every one of you. Mom and Dad also send their heartfelt prayers. - Sandi, Shawn, Lexi, Makyla & Carter - Posted by: Sandi Evans (Friend) on: Feb 05, 2014

DEAR MRS. BARRINGER, I READ WITH SADNESS THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF YOUR HUSBAND'S PASSING. THIS SADNESS WAS QUICKLY REPLACED WITH A SMILE AS I VIVIDLY RECALLED OUR NUMEROUS OFFICE VISITS WHERE YOU AND HE DESCRIBED YOUR WONDERFUL TIMES AT THE COTTAGE. I WILL TRULY MISS HIM AND YOU. I SINCERELY HOPE YOU TOO, WILL FOCUS ON YOUR MARVELOUS 63 YEARS AND ALL THE GOOD TIMES. MARVIN SLUTCHUK - Posted by: Dr. Marvin Slutchuk (PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR) on: Feb 05, 2014

My sincere condolences to the Barringer and Riedle families. Although I never met Kelsey's Grampa, he sounded like a wonderful person who had a positive influence on his family, especially his grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Please take care of each other. - Francy W. - Posted by: Francy Wheadon (Friend of Riedle Family) on: Feb 04, 2014
