Mr. Haugen taught me grade nine math at Sansome 1968-1969. When he was a student teacher, he was in my grade six classroom at Lincoln 1965-1968. He was a firm but kind teacher. Sorry to read that he was forced to retire due to a brain tumour, but glad that it did not take his life so many years ago. My sympathies to his family. - Posted by: Cathie Morgan Matula (Former student ) on: Feb 16, 2014

Mr Haugen was my grade 7 home room teacher at Sansome Jr High. He was very welcoming and understanding. He took time with his students whenever they needed help, a shoulder to cry on, or for someone just to listen. My condolences to his family. Thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. - Posted by: Kathy White (Student) on: Feb 16, 2014
