Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRENDA VAN DE WEGHE (nee BELLE) December 13, 1946 - February 12, 2014 Peacefully, after a brief battle with cancer, Brenda Van De Weghe passed away at the Concordia Hospital, at the age of 67 years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Marcel. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Jackie Belle of Thunder Bay, her partner Ed Sydorchuk of Winnipeg and her many friends who supported and cared for her deeply. Brenda was employed by PharmaPlus until her retirement two years ago. She was a 25 year plus volunteer with Special Olympics Manitoba, a position she loved and cherished. There wasn't an event that she wasn't present at, whether competitive competitions or fundraising for the organization she loved. Brenda was a caring, compassionate person, with a love of life and everything it had to offer. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2014, Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to the caring staff, nurses and aides of Concordia Hospital, 3 East and West for looking after our Brenda. We appreciate the wonderful hearts you have for the work you do. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Brenda to the charity that she loved, Special Olympics Manitoba or the charity of one's choice.
