Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUDREY CAROL MURRAY (nee BUTTERWORTH) July 30, 1945 - February 16, 2014 With great sadness, after a long courageous battle with cancer, we announce the peaceful passing of Audrey Carol Murray on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Left to cherish Audrey's memory are her husband Ken of 47 years; children Todd, and Scott (Christie); grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Morgan and Hannah; sister Heather (Rob). She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Evelyn Butterworth. Born in East St. Paul, MB, Audrey was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She grew up in the north end of Winnipeg, attending Luxton and Tech Voc Schools. Audrey enjoyed being a stay at home mother until she returned to work at the Hudson Bay Distribution Centre, then moved on to the Northwest Company, where she retired in the summer of 2011. Audrey loved spending time with her family, especially looking forward to the racing trips in the motorhome. She touched many lives within the racing community, and was very proud of her involvement in the development of the junior drag racing program in Manitoba. On Saturday, February 22, 2014 Audrey's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Augustine United Church, 444 River Avenue. Our family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at the St. Boniface Palliative Care unit. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Endowment Fund, through the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, 409 Tache Avenue, Room C1026, Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2A6.
