Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA ELIZABETH DICKIE WILLIAMS (nee NIELSEN) October 10, 1930 - February 15, 2014 Peacefully, and at home with family by her side, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at the age of 83 years. Mom was predeceased by her parents Otto and Wilhelmina Nielsen, sister Lil Burnett, brother Andy Nielsen, husband Jack Williams and youngest child Captain Joe Dickie. She is lovingly remembered by daughters, Jocelyn Libbrecht of Calgary, Kathy Helbren (Greg) of Winnipeg, Colleen Dickie of Winnipeg and son, Mike Dickie of Qualicum Beach. Anna also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mom was born in Winnipeg. She moved to The Pas, MB in 1950, where she raised her five children with Bruce Dickie. Her second marriage to Jack Williams brought her both much happiness and a move to the snow free area of Qualicum Beach, BC. Jack's unexpected passing in 2003, forced new decisions and Mom relocated full circle back to Winnipeg. Mom loved the outdoors. She loved to camp and she loved to putter in the garden. She was greatly loved by her family. Her influence in her children's lives was powerful and her wonderful wit will be missed forever. A memorial service celebrating this wonderful woman's life was held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Janet Walker officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winnipeg Harvest, a favourite charity of Mom's. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
