THOMAS WILLIAM IVERSON Peacefully, on March 3, 2014, Thomas Iverson, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 81. He was raised in Birch Bay School District, near Hilbre, MB, on the family farm. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Myrtle, of nearly 58 years; son, Alvin (Debbie), grandchildren, Chris (Jen), Brad (Lisa), Trevor (Julianne), great-grandchildren, Alecia, Zachary, Ty, Aiden and Taylor; son, Ron (Dawna), grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul) and Jeanette (Sean), Karl (Kim), Thea (Don) and Erik (Katrina), great-grandchildren, Aaron, Leden, Kaden, Seth and Brody; son, Marvin (Lori) and grandson, Ryan (Kate); son, Alan (Sandra), grandchildren, Shelby (Chris), Samantha (Conner); daughter, Marilyn (Phil), grandchildren, Shayna (Mike), Scott (Holly), Alanna (Logan); daughter, Lesley, grandchildren; Allan, Andrew, Gavin and Mandy (and their dad, Ernie); sister, Kathleen (Bill); brother-in-law Ted, sisters-in-law Merle and Yvonne, the extended Meisner family, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Iver and Emma; siblings, Ellen (Sigvald, Iver), James (Frances), Ida (Erik), Emma (Peter), Edmund (Rose), Iver, Betty (Cyril, Lionel); his twin sister, Martha and brothers-in-law, Ed and John. Tom worked for 32 years at Canada Packers, until the plant closed in 1988. He was an example of integrity, faith, loyalty, love, family values and appreciation of music. He has left a wonderful legacy. Truly missed, but never forgotten. A Celebration of Life Service will take place Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St., Winnipeg. Rev. David Saude officiating. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren. Private interment has already taken place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to the staff of A4 and A6 South at the St. Boniface Hospital, for their genuine care and compassion. Thank you to all who have shown such love, care, and support to our family throughout this difficult journey.
