My deepest condolences to Henry's family and the community of Powerview, as this is a huge loss to both. During the years I worked at the Powerview Detachment, Henry was one of the steadfast, reliable rocks of the community, and a great partner when his services were required. He was the only person I could count on for a cheerful response, regardless of the time of day I called him, or the weather I asked him to come out in. May God grant you the rest you've earned Henry. - Posted by: Carl Dinsdale (Friend and co-worker) on: Mar 13, 2014

Knowing Henry was an important part of my daily working life. When he saw you he always had a great smile that made you feel like home. It was such a joy to see his interaction with the students and how they loved him. Henry was a hard worker and was always willing to help. After he retired the joy of meeting him gave that day a special lift. I am so honoured to have travelled some of my life path with him. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know that he touched many people's hearts. - Posted by: Sonia Sheane (co-worker at Powerview School) on: Mar 10, 2014

Henry you were truly a good man! I will never forget the way you greeted me at school since I was little girl calling me Tara Lincoln Mercury Ford. You were so kind, friendly and happy and your smile would light up the halls every day. It was an honour sharing our graduation ceremony with you by presenting you with an honorary "key" to the school. You will truly be missed. My condolences go out to your family. God bless! - Posted by: Tara Berthelette (Former student of Powerview School during Henry's time as a custodian) on: Mar 08, 2014

Henry always called me Mr. Until he found out who my dad was, see Henry was the janitor at powerview for a long time, after that day he called me Mr. Wilcott, he was an honourable man. I remember the car accident I had when I was 17 and Henry just told me and my dad that I was one hell of a driver and that I sure #%$&ed up my dad's truck, heaven will be a better place with you in it Henry, if not cleaner... Peace my friend. - Posted by: Joshua (Sfriend) on: Mar 08, 2014

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of this kind man. One time he came out to Hollow Water to pull our truck out at "the Point", he looks at my husband and says "You sure drive the *#&%@ outta yer truck eh boy". We sure had a good laugh at that one. Again we are very sorry to hear of his passing, may he rest in peace and his family find comfort in Creator's love. - Posted by: Laura Hardisty & Timothy Johnstone (Very grateful customers) on: Mar 07, 2014

Henry was one of the sweetest people I knew. He was friendly to everyone, always said hello or greeted you with a wave, and had a contagious smile that would light up a room. Powerview school students were lucky to have such a wonderful person working in the school who was always there to give a helping hand. Henry was like "everyone's grandpa"! He will be missed by many, thank you for the memories Henry R.I.P. My condolences to your family! - Posted by: Jen (Former Student at Powerview school) on: Mar 07, 2014

Our prayers and thoughts are with your family during this time, Claude and Mellissa. Henry was so friendly to everyone he knew. Would always give me a hug and call me his girl. He made everyone smile. And all the kids loved him when he worked at the school. My family and I will miss his smiles and his loving hugs. May you be at peace. Forever remembered. - Posted by: Andrea and Roger Frechette () on: Mar 07, 2014

Henry, you sure did touch a lot of hearts! Kids, teenagers, adults, pets, you loved them all and they loved you too! You've been in our lives from the day we were born, us twins sharing the same birthday with you was so exciting! We would try to beat each other to see who would call you first to wish you a happy Birthday! It was cute because you were so happy to receive your wishes and then you would say "same to you" "come on down" well we'll continue wishing you a special birthday because we love you....the world lost a wonderful, compassionate, hard working man with a heart of gold. You left your footprints here through your children, Alma & Claude, they are just like you, and a beautiful wife you dearly loved. Keep that smile going....behave up there! - Posted by: Rita & Niño (Long time Family Friend) on: Mar 07, 2014

My sincere condolences to Lillian, Alma and Claude. For over 30+ years Henry greeted me with either a wave, flash of towing lights, or a quick hello. He always made me smile and will be sorely missed. I am still out of country and will not be able to attend wake or service, but my thoughts and prayers are with you. - Posted by: Susan Dugard (friend) on: Mar 07, 2014
