Millie will be lovingly remembered and missed by family and friends. She is survived by her niece and nephew Rhonda and Bruce Cook and cousin Bob (Rosa) Halibiski, Paul Baribeau (brother-in-law) and Grace Stewart (sister-in-law). Millie is predeceased by her husband of 56 years David, parents William and Annie Skura, and sister Jean Cook. Millie was married on August 13, 1955 to David Baribeau. She loved nature, gardening, and her dogs Smokey, Dusty, Domingo, Nova, and Ginger. Throughout her life she loved spending time outdoors, in 1956 David and Millie purchased an American Fly-in-camp in northern Ontario and operated Camp Baribeau for 26 years. Millie and David loved their trips to Mexico. Shortly after selling the camp she and her husband purchased a lakefront home on Black Sturgeon Lake in Ontario and lived there for 21 years. In 2007 they purchased a home in Meadowbrook Villas in Sanford, Manitoba. While in Sanford Millie continued her love of gardening and along with her husband David and dog Ginger met many new friends. A celebration of Millie's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014, Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
