I live in Florida now and just recently learned of Adam's passing, I went to school with him in Weston. I used to read stories to the younger kids in classes at school mostly Pipi Longstocking. I made up posters and needed someone to draw different scenes for me. I tried unsuccessfully and Adam offered to help. Even then Adam was an incredibly gifted artist and used to draw all the pictures we used in the posters. I later watched him with my kids on Bundy's late night review and really enjoyed him and Beave. He was something special. My deepest condolences. - Posted by: George Laing (Old School friend) on: Apr 21, 2014

I remember growing up with Adam and growing up with him in Weston. From playing hockey with him at Weston C.C., going to school with him and hanging out, he was as everyone above says in the posts, one of a kind. Massively talented in art. I remember his doodles on paper of cartoon charcters in school to his infectious humor I'll never forget. You will be sadly missed by all the people who had the pleasure of knowing you. Thanx for the memories, Duane Jansen. - Posted by: Duane Jansen (Childhood Friend) on: Apr 21, 2014

Adam's passing is truly a shock and so very saddening. I went to Tec-Voc with Adam and instantly fell in love with his artwork and him. We had many incredibly memorable days together. When I met his family I felt very much at home. Donna and Frank were so sweet and so was his little brother Sean. I will never forget those beautiful memories and am thankful to have had the opportunity to have Adam be an important part of my youth. My deepest sympathies to his loved ones. - Posted by: Barbie Morris () on: Apr 10, 2014

One never knows what to say at times like this. Adam was a remarkable young man who left us too early. Although it was awhile since I saw him, I always remember the quality time we spent together over the years and I thought of him often. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Now is the time for all of you to be strong and support each other. With love and respect. - Posted by: Len Gransch (Friend (Ex-brother-in law)) on: Apr 08, 2014

Still trying to process the sudden loss of my dear friend and co-host Adam "The Beave" Rickner. For 10 years, we worked shoulder-to-shoulder as puppeteers - after you stole the show as my co-host on Bundy's Late Night. The night of your passing, I watched 'best-of' episodes until the wee hours of the morning....laughing...crying...then laughing again. Adam, we should have been paying them to have the fun we did back then. May God rest your soul 'ol buddy. Buckley's going to miss you. - Posted by: Kevin (Bundy) Dunn (Friend, Co-worker) on: Apr 08, 2014

Adam, I remember my first large meal gathering with the Yee family. I was sitting in awe as the food was spinning around in the middle of the table thinking what do I do. I looked up and there you sat with a big smile looking at me and said ' don't worry you get used to it but I suggest you let Walter get your food' . He made me relax and enjoy the event. My co-caucasian with red hair! My sincere sympathy to Cathy and Skye and the Yee family. You have many years of special memories to treasure. - Posted by: Cindy Cheyne (Friend) on: Apr 06, 2014

Adam was one of the most open people when I joined CBC... was the fellow who would wave in the parking lot...have something sharp or funny to say, often both sharp and funny. I feel a loss of what to say.... I can picture Adam so clearly in the design room... My thoughts are with his family. Andrew Lee - Posted by: andrew lee (worked with him) on: Apr 06, 2014

Adam, my dear, dear crazy, lovable, laughing, prankster, multi-talented friend. OMG I will miss the many long Skype sessions, your wonderful sense of humor, your joie de vivre. You have touched so many people, cheers to you for the gift of your love and friendship. I imagine you sitting with your Storm Trooper outfit, mocking me.... Stormtrooper #1: "What's this thing?" Stormtrooper #2: "It's a grenade of some kind." Stormtrooper #3: "It's a lightsaber. Don't you know any history? The fanatical Jedi cult used to carry them—until Lord Vader wiped them out." To Cathy and Skye I send a virtual hug and lots of love :) Jenn - Posted by: Jennifer R. Cook (Bestest of friends :)) on: Apr 02, 2014
