CAROL (AKER) THOM It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Carol Louise Thom on April 5, 2014. Carol is survived by her loving husband Garry Thom, sons Gerry (Marina) Thom and Richard (Amy) Thom, and her grandchildren, Alexa, Sierra, Penny, Colby, Cheyenne, Jodyicy, Chase, Kalianna, Irelynn, Anna, and Ashley. She is also survived by her mother Helen Aker, brother Stephen (Margaret) Aker, and sisters Linda Aker, Cindy (Allan) Hoover and Rhea Aker, as well as many nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her father Howard Aker in 2003. Carol was born and raised in Winnipeg, where she and Garry started their family. In 1978 they moved their family to Regina, where Carol worked for many years at Sherwood Credit Union, before retiring to devote her time to care for her husband. The funeral service will be held on April 11 at 10 a.m. at the Regina Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the STARS Air Ambulance Service.
