Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE JULY ZAYETS (nee MOSER) On April 8, 2014, Elsie July Zayets (nee Moser) was reunited with her beloved husband, Bill, as she passed away peacefully with loved ones at her side. She was predeceased by her sister Irene Cardwell. She leaves to mourn her daughter, Marly Billows, granddaughter, Sandy Gregory (Ed), and three loving great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Bailey, and Eddie, who lit up her life. Elsie was very creative and talented leaving many beautiful paintings and wood carvings to remember her by. She used to enjoy gardening and was a top bowler at the Dakota Lanes for many years. Elsie also enjoyed playing the chord organ and Hawaiian guitar learning all of her favourite Elvis Blue Hawaii songs. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Poseidon Care Centre for their loving care. In accordance with her wishes there will be a private interment with only immediate family in attendance. Cards and flowers are respectfully declined. Elsie's wishes were for others to perform an act of kindness in her memory. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

I remember first meeting Mrs. Zayets when Marly and I were in Grade 1. As we grew, she taught us about how much makeup a proper young lady should wear. She welcomed me onto their very serious family bowling team, gave us her blessing when we decided we were old enough to fly the coop and got our first apartment together, welcomed me as Marly's Maid of Honor and gave me a bridal shower when I got married. Kind of the second motherly type to me and I really appreciated her concern and advice. My condolences to Marly and her family. I'm thinking of you all the way from B.C., Lana. - Posted by: Mrs. Alana Ainsworth (nee: Neal) (Marly's school mate and MMaid of Honor) on: May 02, 2014

I always enjoyed going to visit Bill and Elsie, whether it was in St. Vital, or at the lake where we had many good times together. As we grew up, there was a time when we didn't see each other that often, and of course we all changed. I remember when my brother Rick got married, Bill and Elsie came through the receiving line and came up to me and said, "Hi, we're Rick's aunt and uncle". To which I replied, you're my aunt and uncle as well; we all got a good laugh from that. Although it has been a number of years since I saw Elsie, I moved out of Winnipeg in 1999, I still remember both her and Bill with a smile and always will.... - Posted by: Lloyd Searcy (Nephew) on: Apr 13, 2014

I will always warmly remember Bill and Elsie as a happy and loving couple who truly enjoyed life together. Most of all, they valued their family bond. - Posted by: Gerald & Beryl Bates (Cousin) on: Apr 12, 2014
