Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOUISE LAURIE ROBERTS DUNSFORD (nee DUNN) The family of Louise Laurie Dunsford are saddened to announce her passing on February 12, 2014 at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home. Mom slipped away peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of the morning. A woman of quiet faith, she was ready and willing to meet her Lord and Saviour. Survived by her children Alan (Pat); Edward (Marlene); Lorna (Dave); Robb (Korenna); and grandchildren Christopher, Andrew (Alexandra), Katherine, Jeffrey, Graeme, Amandah, and Moneca; as well as great-grandchildren, Hayden, Mason and Jackson of New Westminster, B.C. Also surviving in Edinburgh, Scotland are her sister Elizabeth,(Betty) Newsway, and brother James Dunn (Anne), as well as brother John Dunn of Lossiemouth, Scotland, and their families. Also surviving is sister-in-law Eileen Dunsford (Dave Leckie) of Winnipeg and her family. Mom came to Canada in 1946 as a war bride and made many trips back to Scotland to see her family as this was important to her. In later years, mom and dad also travelled to Victoria, B.C. on a number of occasions. Mom was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, the ladies guild and the "British Wives Club" in Winnipeg. She was pre-deceased by husband Edward(Ted) Dunsford, brother-in-law George Dunsford, and her parents John and Isabella Dunn. The family would like to extend their appreciation to staff at St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their care and compassion shown to our mom; you are all special. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or St. Boniface General Hospital would be appreciated.
