Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA PUHACH (nee STEFANYSHEN) January 22, 1929 April 23, 2014 With family by her side, Olga passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 85. She will be forever missed by her loving and devoted husband Boris, children David (Judy) Puhach, and Gail (John) Leah, her grandchildren Cori (Roy) McLeod, Jayson (Joyce) Jeppesen, Holly Jacques, Marnie (Keith) Walker, Chris (Kim) Puhach, Shawna (Mark) Larter and ten great-grandchildren. She was recently predeceased by her daughter Pat Jeppesen. She is also survived by her brother Bill (Julia) Stefanyshen and sister Sally Day. Olga was born the second youngest of eleven children in the community of Glenhope, Manitoba where she met her husband Boris. They got married 70 years ago and settled on a small farm in Glenhope. In 1957 they moved to Hawk Lake, Ontario for a summer and later that year settled in Transcona. Olga loved her family very, very much and she would do anything for them. We will always remember the family gatherings and feasts for every occasion leaving long lasting memories of family traditions. She especially loved when her children and their families visited. She was very popular with the neighbourhood children as when they showed up at her door she would always have a cookie for them. No one ever left her house hungry. Once her children all left home she went with Boris to wherever his job would take them where she would develop many friendships. Olga liked travelling with Boris to places like Hawaii, Florida, Barbados and Jamaica. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. with interment to follow. Many thanks to Doctors and staff at St. Boniface Hospital, 7A West and Palliative Care as well as the care she received at St. Norbert Personal Care Home and Park Manor Personal Care Home. To you all, I am sooooo very sorry for your loss. I can't put into words really how sad I am for you all. I heard today of Mrs. Puhach's passing and I haven't stopped crying. I wish I could be there for the funeral and hug you all but being two provinces away, its makes it very hard. I will miss her so very much. I remember always being welcome over. From letting me help with her flower beds, to feeding me (hee hee), to letting me keep her company, putting up with a child who always had "why" questions, being a part of your family (always dreamt of marrying Chris lol) and so much more...I'll never forget her. You are all so wonderful and I am just at a loss. I know she will not be alone as my grandparents will welcome her with open arms. Again, I am so sorry and I wish for less tears and many wonderful stories and she would love that. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, Raina and kids - Posted by: Raina Hooper (next door friends grandchild ) on: Apr 28, 2014
