STANLEY KEITH MCMILLAN June 7, 1924 - April 24, 2014 On April 24 Stanley Keith McMillan passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Center surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Katherine; children Brian (Lucinda), Gary and Janice (Jim); grandchildren Seth, Matthew, Kelly, Lily, Julie, Heather, Shannon and eight great-grandchildren. "After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in Mechanical Engineering in 1950, I moved to Flin Flon, MB where I married Katherine Akre. After working for Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting for about four years, we moved to Regina with two young sons where I took a position with the Consumer Co-op Refinery. During the 5 years we spent in Regina, we added a daughter to our family. In 1960 our family moved to Winnipeg where I worked for the Province of Manitoba for 29 years before retiring in 1987. After retiring we spent our winters in Apache Junction, Arizona until health issues brought an end to that. In 2007 we moved out of our home and into Dakota House where we really appreciated an end to shoveling snow, landscaping and cutting the lawn, etc. Our new friends and activities added to our enjoyment of life." In keeping with Keith's wishes, a private family celebration of his life was held. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Riverview Health Center.
