Nick and Annette met during the year of 1957 and it was love at first sight. They spent 55 wonderful married years together and raised five beautiful children. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, and daughter-in-law unconditionally. Annette loved being surrounded by her family and friends whether it included camping, having company over for a game of cards or praying. She also enjoyed her Thursday night potlucks, barbeques and holiday meals. Annette travelled many places and because of her devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary her most memorable trip was to Medjugorje. On this trip she took prayer petitions for those who could not be there. She was very dedicated to her Monday intercessory prayer group meetings. She was a well respected member of the community and surrounding areas. She will be missed not only by her family but by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Annette loved her counselling position at the Alcare Centre, which she used as an opportunity to share her faith in Jesus to counsel. She was always there to help others in their time of need, even when she had her own struggles. She truly believed in the Aposple Creed and was a selfless woman who brought joy to others. A special thanks and appreciation to the community intercessory prayer group, to those who prayed for her, to the caring staff of the Pine Falls and Selkirk General Hospitals, and all other caregivers. Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Auntie Annette was a sweet, gentle woman who spoke in a soothing voice. She helped our father many times when he was sick, I appreciated that greatly. She was a spiritually strong woman who was not afraid to share her love of God. I was deeply humbled to be one of her honorary pallbearers. Missing auntie as I think of her tonight. Condolences to my cousins as each year passes. Love Joanne - Posted by: Joanne (Niece) on: Mar 31, 2019

  • There are no words to fully describe just how incredibly beautiful my Aunt Annette is. The closest I can say is that her spirit shone like the glorious Sun. Everyone who met her instinctively knew she was somebody extra special. I know she is in Heaven with my Dad Gregory Sonny, Grandpa, Granny and the others who left to join. I know they welcomed her. My Dad said before he left this world "Remember this, what's important for our family is that we all have to make sure we all meet again in Heaven." Like my Auntie Annette make sure Jesus is your Lord and Savior and we will join her and all those who left in faith before us. - Posted by: Coreene and Family Jasmyn, Chris, Gregory, Justin, Sonny and Sage (niece and family) on: May 26, 2014

  • My greatest auntie has left on her journey, heaven is celebrating her arrival. Auntie, you were an inspiration to All who knew you. You will always be in my heart and I will cherish the memories you left behind with the family and especially myself. You were always the light of the room. Your humour and love for everyone will be missed. I love you auntie and I will miss you! God has a special angel by his side now, and our family there with you will be feasting and celebrating your coming home to them. Our sorrow is their joy. - Posted by: Reinie Courchene () on: May 16, 2014
