Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEANNE MARY SWAMPY August 16, 1985 - June 2, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter, sister, wife, granddaughter, niece, aunty, cousin and dear friend. Leanne is survived by her partner of 14 years, Jeremy Courchene, loving parents Theresa Swampy (Vernon) and Tom McDuff, sister Caitlyn (Michael), brothers Matthew, Barry (Cheyanne), and Tommy; stepsiblings: Chelsea and Jaden; mother-in-law Theresa Sayer (Irvin); the children she called her own, Syrus and Dawn; godchildren Avriel and Tashina; grandmother Margaret Bunn (Peter); aunts: Brenda (Robert), Linda (Blake); uncles: Lloyd (Winona), Calvin (Lesley), Trevor (Stephanie), Mark (Geraldine), her besties Jessica, Courtney, and Trishia, and relatives from Scanterbury First Nation. She is predeceased by her grandfather Leslie Desjarlais, and uncle Kevin Courchene. Leanne loved her arts and crafts, enjoyed the powwow trail and the camping involved, she had a beautiful spirit with a big smile and a contagious laugh, her family and friends were always her pride. Wake services will be held at her grandmother Margaret Bunn's house, 651 Northshore Road, Wednesday June 4, 2014. Funeral services will be held at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Active pallbearers: Micheal White, Mark Alexander, Lee Courchene, Ramsey Courchene, Gabe Swampy Jr. and Matthew Swampy. Honorary pallbearers: Caitlyn McDuff, Tommy McDuff, Barry Swampy, Dawn Bruce, Syrus Hornbrook, Tashina Courchene, Avriel Courchene, Courtney Courchene, Jessica Courchene, and Trishia Swampy. Leanne was a beautiful woman beautiful inside and out. I am grateful. I got to spend half my life with her. Share. Many stories with her she was my better half. Why was your worst half? I'll always cherish the moments we share. I love you Leanne. You do not know how much I miss you. And he's coming days are hard. You're still always on my mind. I'm glad your mind is At peace. You're with your mother. You're with their babies. Nobody can take the love I had for you away. Nothing can Compare to you, always hold a special place. My heart. I still have the tattoo on my neck of your initials. I will never cover them. Even though I said I would I'm not. It's been 10 long years, but it feels like only yesterday.
