Madison wanted to say thank you for playing on the monkey bars at the park with her a few weekends ago. You're a very loved person who deserves peace of mind & I hope you have found peace. • To be honest, I wasn't completely close with Matthew, but being in a few of the same classes and graduating during the same year, I'm positive he's the kind of guy that will be missed by many people. Whether close or not, hearing that somebody in the same graduating year passed away (at such a young age) it has an impact. My respects go out to his family and anybody (I know there was a lot of you out there) that was very close. He always seemed like a good person to be around, and I'm sure it's a happier place where he is now. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Another GCCI student () on: Jun 28, 2014

  • Matthew I will never forget the last conversation we had. How you made me laugh. You were the type of guy to always put a smile on someone's face when they were at their very worst. I loved you as a person and as my friend, I could always count on you to be there when I needed someone to talk to. The last conversation we had you told me to never forget that no matter how hard things get there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, and I wish you could have seen that light but I know that one day I will see you again and we will have our laughs and conversations all over again. I love you tons hun, may you rest in peace. And to the Santos family my condolences and love go out to your family during this tragic time. - Posted by: Samantha (Friend) on: Jun 27, 2014

  • Dear Ricki and family. My heart broke when I saw this in the paper. Matthew was just a little boy of 9 or 10 when Ricki and I started working together, and over the years Ricki entertained us with a lot of great stories about Matthew - especially about his pets. Whatever the subject of the story though, it was always apparent that he was a great kid - hardworking, kind and loving, and very much loved by all of his family. My deepest condolences go out to all of you. - Posted by: Kristen Neilson (Former co-worker of Ricki) on: Jun 27, 2014

  • As a grieving mother of three months my heart breaks for the family as a whole. A tragic loss such as this is so hard to accept and there will never be an answer for the one question that will go through your mind daily, "WHY"? For now, knowing that he is with god and is shining down on you is the only comfort you may feel. You can be sure that when you meet on the other side Matthew will answer your question as to why he had to leave you. I still cry everyday and I want you to know that Matthew will live on in your minds and hearts. Once again I am so sorry for your loss, may you find inner peace and strength as you begin your difficult journey . - Posted by: Grieving mother (Stranger) on: Jun 26, 2014

  • Muffin, I'm looking at your photo thinking about our last conversation. Had I known it would be the last, there's many things I would have said to you. I would have told you how much I enjoyed your visits and everything you do for us. I would have told you that you're a great person and I appreciate you for who you are. You always showed up at just the right moment with your charming smile and a tray full of coffees....just because. I didn't mind that you'd get cozy'd up in my chair and snoop through all my stuff.... it was nice to have your company. I would have made you stay just a little bit longer. Your genuine kindness and bighearted attitude makes me want to be a better person. It's heartbreaking thinking we'll never see you again. For as long as this building is standing, I'll be wishing for you to walk in this door.....Just one more time. - Posted by: Jennifer () on: Jun 25, 2014

  • I remember our memories taking the bus together we all had that stupid contest on who can stand on the bus the longest until someone falls, the time the bus driver passed us and we all got mad but you were the only one who had the guts to say anything and time you, me, Michael, Marco, Joey, Stephan and Veronica would meet at Foxwarren park after school and chill there and when it got dark and play hide and go seek. I am so glad I got the chance to be you friend Matthew. You are honestly a great friend, an amazing person inside and out. My prayers go out to you and your family Matt. - Posted by: Heather (Friend ) on: Jun 25, 2014
