Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Judy, Cindy, Beverley, So sorry for you loss. I remember fondly all the times the Sulipa's visited your parent's home when we were all a lot younger. Both your mom and dad, and all of you, used to always treat us well and it was always fun visiting with you all. Also recall when your mom and dad used to come over for the Sulipa Boxing Day celebrations. And your mom's love and passion for music was terrific and she entertained and brought us all together many a time with it. I vividly recall the 88 Rama renuion and your mom sitting around the campfire leading us all in sing alongs as she did so many times. Such special times and she was a special person. Condolences and love, Dan Sulipa and Sulipa family. - Posted by: dan sulipa (nephew) on: Jul 13, 2014

  • Cindy, Judy, Beverley: My memory of Aunt Florence goes back to Rama when I was nine years of age and under. While Aunt Val and Olly were teaching me how to ride a bike, I would always make a stop at the 5 and 10 store where your mother was always good for ice cream or candy. They were all parents to me. Later during our regular visits to Winnipeg, a visit to your home in Transcona was always a welcoming one for us. The passion your mother had for singing and playing the guitar would rival anything Wilf Carter or Hank Snow did. Later stopping in Winnipeg a few times with Pat, the aunts would always make a visit to your mom's: Our last gave us the impression of another passion for dance with her new partner. If only we could all find and live as well with our passion. Your mom and dad were always favourites of mine. We did know Cindy in Edmonton when she helped us and our son, Marc, getting large print and braille materials together. So sorry for losing touch. Would love to see you all again. Our love to you as you work through your loss. - Posted by: Patricia/Ronald Hlady (Nephew) on: Jul 06, 2014
