INGRID COPPOCK January 26, 1947 - June 24, 2014 It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the passing of Ingrid Coppock, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Ingrid will be forever remembered by her husband of 32 years, Fred, her daughter Carrie, son Neil (Katie) of Maple Valley, WA, sons Rory and Troy of Redondo Beach, CA and grandchildren Corbin, Allie, Brendan, Brooke, Brody, Braxten and Bryten. She will be sadly missed by her loving sister Lina, niece Ursula (Michael) and family, nephews Edmund (Orysia) and family and Harry (Theresia) and family. Ingrid was predeceased by her parents Robert and Ida, sister Selma and brothers Edwin and Walter. Ingrid was born on January 27, 1947 in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Germany and came to Canada at an early age with her family. She attended school in Winnipeg graduating from St. John's High School. Following the passing of her first husband, Ingrid and her young children moved from Matlock to Selkirk in 1981 where she married Fred. Together they raised their family and spent many happy years together at their homes in Selkirk, Wavey Creek, Winnipeg and Vancouver Island. Ingrid was a caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She took an active interest in her children's lives and enjoyed trips to the west coast and several cities in the United States to visit with her sons and grandchildren. Following the completion of her certificate program at Red River Community College, Ingrid was employed for 17 years at the office of Dr. Scherle in Selkirk. Ingrid was an avid gardener and her yards were always a place of peace and beauty. Her artistic talent was evident through her many interests such as ceramics, painting, floral arranging and gardening. She enjoyed cooking and was responsible for many wonderful dinners enjoyed with friends and family. Ingrid was a source of support to many and was blessed with patience, tolerance and kindness. Having a quieter disposition tended to obscure her thoughtful and confident nature. Ingrid was also blessed by a recent Easter gathering of all her children and had the chance to hold her newest granddaughter in her arms. A sincere thank you to Dr. Harris, the Oncology Clinic and the staff of N1 South at Concordia Hospital for the excellent care and genuine compassion extended to Ingrid during her illness. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place. Following Ingrid's wishes no formal service will be held. A gathering for family and friends will take place at a later date. "Time for us to part now, I won't say goodbye Look for me in rainbows shining in the sky In the morning sunrise when all the world is new Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you."
