Not only was he my grandfather but also my best friend. I could talk to him about anything and we always loved going to Salsibury House. He would come watch me play hockey and drive me anywhere I wanted to go. I am so thankful I got to see you and say I love you the day before you passed. I will think about you till the day I die. The reason I'm posting is because I'm in the waiting room right now remembering all those times I came to visit you in the hospital. I am so proud to call you my grandpa! Love you so much and rest in paradise. - Posted by: Wesley Bodnar (Grandson) on: Aug 18, 2015

It was a pleasure to have John as a client, looked forward to when I had John on my run sheet, as we had many good times. Enjoyed mostly as he spoke of his family, his eyes had that sparkle and his wonderful smile, John was immensely proud of his family. Rest in peace John. My condolences to the entire family. We are so sorry to hear of John's passing. John was a gentleman who was so easy to talk to and he entertained us with many stories. We loved to have jam sessions in our basement with Darrell on drums and John playing his fiddle. We were all proud that our homemade fiddle music CD "John Bodnar & Son with the Nice 'n Easy Band" was a hit with the Portage La Prairie radio station. They have been playing John's music for many years now. John will be fondly remembered. - Posted by: Linda and Dennis Dyck (Friends) on: Jul 14, 2014
