YVES LE NEAL Peacefully at the Tiger Hills Manor on Sunday, July 13, 2014, Mr. Yves Le Néal, of Treherne, MB passed away at the age of 103 years. Yves was born in Ste. Amélie, MB near where he spent his first nine years. The family then moved to near St. Claude, MB staying for two and a half years before moving to a farm north west of Notre Dame de Lourdes. There with his family he helped on the farm and went to Carnot School. Later he worked as a labourer until his marriage in 1938. It was then that he rented land in the Treherne area and worked at the job that he enjoyed the most and was very good at, farming. He later bought land south of Treherne and farmed there until his retirement to Treherne in 1982. Gardening, playing cards and going for a drive were some of his favourite pastimes which he was able to enjoy for many years. He leaves to mourn his three children: Raymond (Esther) Le Néal, Laurette (Henri) Lacroix and Doreen (Raymond) Dion; nine grandchildren: Ryan, Marc (Lisa), Colin (Kristine), Johanne (Michael), Serge, André (Martine), Bryan (Yvonne), Melissa (Eric) and Lianne (Gordon) and 16 great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn two sisters-in-law, Annette Le Néal and Thérèse Le Néal (Fern). Yves was predeceased by his wife Rose Le Néal (née Deshayes) in 2009. Prayers will be held at Adam's Funeral Home on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Monday, July 21, 2014. Eulogy and video tribute at 1:30 followed by Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. John McKenzie and Fr. Jean-Hubert Collet officiating. Interment in the Notre Dame Parish Cemetery. The family wishes to sincerely thank Drs. Vorster, MacTavish, Dixon and Rosing and the staff of the Tiger Hills Health Centre for the wonderful and considerate care they afforded Yves.
