Born: Apr 03, 1934
Date of Passing: Jul 17, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY GIESBRECHT April 3, 1934 - July 17, 2014 Following a long term illness, Mary passed away peacefully on July 17, 2014 at the Brummitt-Feasby ALS House at the age of 80 years. Mary will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Cathy (Larry), Carol (Parker), Linda (Bill), Marilyn (Gord) and Jake (Lisa); 11 grandchildren; one sister and four brothers. Mary will be affectingly remembered by her grandchildren as "Grandma Foxy". Mary was a warm and caring person who always made time for family. Mary has worked hard all her life but her one and true passion was her knitting. Nothing gave Mary more satisfaction than completing a project and seeing the look on the individual's face when they saw the efforts of her labour for the first time. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (across from the Mint) with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in Glen Lawn Reception Centre. We cannot express enough gratitude for the overwhelming support and care that has been given to Mary over the last two and a half years from Diane Rasmussen and all the staff at the Brummitt-Feasby ALS House. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be made to ALS Society of Manitoba, 493 Madison Street, Winnipeg, MB R3J 1J2. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

I am deeply saddened to hear of your mom's passing. My heartfelt sympathies to all of you. I am also sad that I will not be attending to give my condolences in person. I will be away during that time. Hugs to all. - Posted by: Teresa Phillips (Friend of family) on: Jul 19, 2014
