Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROLANDO T. GARCIA September 24, 1938 - July 25, 2014 Rolando passed away at the Riverview Health Centre on Friday, July 25, 2014 age 75 years. He is survived by his wife Francisca and children, son Ariel (Bernadette), and children, Zabina, Argie (Kristopher, kids Kloe and Athan), Adrian (Moss and daughter Darla); daughter Tessie (Stan) and their children, Samantha and Sean; son Ren (Agnes) and their children, Andre and Ashton; son Garry (Cristina) and children, James and Gericho; daughter Monette (Leo) and their son Liam; brothers and sisters: Gloria, Aurella, Felipe, Fernando (Norma), Ponciano (Adelia), Maria, Venacio (Corazon) and Cecilia. Rolando (Rody) was loved by many people for being kind and putting others before himself. He will forever be missed by his loved ones, children and grandchildren, relatives and friends. We thank all the staff at the Health Sciences Centre GA4, Riverview Health Centre 3EW, and Palliative Care team especially to Dr. Tim Hiebert and Dr. J. Wong. Viewing/Lamay will be held on Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, July 31, 2014 commencing at 6:00 p.m. from Mosaic Funeral Chapel 1839 Inkster Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church 748 Keewatin St. Winnipeg, MB, Monsignor Enrique Samson Jr. celebrant. Interment in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. Winnipeg, MB., following the mass. As a father, Ama had values that I truly treasure and admire. Growing up, we did not have much but he provided my siblings & I more than just the necessity. I remember in Jr. High, I wanted to fit in with my peers & had asked for an Adidas track suit. He may have had to work an extra shift to buy me that track suit. There are so many things I can say to prove how kind he was but those who know him here in Canada & in the Philippines already know this. He does not think twice about helping others, whether it would be financially or to give personal advice. Ama, you did a great job raising us. We will forever treasure your teachings. I thank you for allowing me to take care of you this past month. I want you to know that you were never once a burden to me. My brothers and I could have gone for years taking care of you because you as a person did not ask for much. I'm so sorry that I did not get to take you home like how I had hoped for. Rest in peace, now you are with your MOM and sisters. Don't worry about us, we will take care of one another. Don't worry about Ina, I will take care of her. You will forever be missed, especially by your grandchildren. Rest in peace, paradise, no more pain, no more suffering.
