AURORE RICHARD (nee BEAUDRY) September 20, 1927 August 5, 2014 It is with deep sadness that the family of Aurore Richard announce her passing on August 5, 2014 at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her sister Diane Gousseau, sisters-in-law Annette Beaudry, Delima Beaudry and Therese Richard. Mom was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Emile, son Maurice (Verna) and 11 siblings. Mom was the youngest of thirteen children of Arthur Beaudry and Emma Prefontaine. She was born in the family home in St. Eustache, Manitoba where she spent her childhood years and later attended school at the Convent of the Notre Dame des Mission. The family moved to Haywood, Manitoba, where she met Emile. They were married in June, 1945. After farming for a few years Mom and Dad moved to St. Claude where they owned and operated a family business until their retirement in 1991. Mom was a dedicated wife and mother. Always an excellent cook, Mom took great pride in the wonderful meals she prepared for her family. She was also an accomplished seamstress and knitter. She loved to knit for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. An avid gardener, Mom always kept a beautiful flower garden. Reading was a life long passion and she instilled the love of reading in her children. We will miss Mom's sense of humour, courage and strength of character. She was the heart of the family and we will miss her dearly. We love you Mom. Our deepest thanks to the medical staff at Notre Dame Hospital for their compassionate care. We would also like to express our gratitude to the St. Claude home care workers. A special thank you to Cecile Gousseau for her care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Funeral Services to celebrate Aurore's life will be held at the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. - Posted by: Camille Légaré csv (school principal) on: Aug 10, 2014
