RICK DURRANT 1938 - 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Dad, Grandpa, Brother and friend Rick Durrant. Dad was predeceased by our mom Donna in 2008 and his brother David in 1988. Rick leaves his daughter Sandy (Lloyd) and son Al, his grandchildren Chad, Bailey and Kyle, his sister Rose and his dear friend and companion Roz. Dad loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. Throughout the years Mom and Dad made many lifelong friends that became our extended family. Whether it was the house on Maplehurst Road, summers at Tarryall Resort or at the cabin in Broad Valley, our lives were filled with so many friends and so much laughter. Even when Dad spent time in the hospital recently, he had a steady stream of visitors. He touched many lives with his kindness and thoughtfulness. We are thankful for the time we had him in our lives. He will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. We would like to thank the staff of Victoria Hospital, Palliative Care and Riverview for their kindness and compassion for both dad and our family. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
