DENISE KRAWETZ (nee LAGACE) With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Denise Krawetz who passed away, with family by her side, on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Rest Haven Nursing Home at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 2010, granddaughter Kimberly in 2000, and son-in-law William in 2013. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Gerald (Lillian), Shirley Kozak, Ron (Monika Lehmann), Valerie (Donald) Revet, Connie (Lawrence) Katcher, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Denise was born November 27, 1925 in La Salle, Manitoba, one of 15 children of Irene and Joseph Lagace. She met her future husband Michael in Flin Flon, Manitoba. Both Mike and Denise were blessed with being able to travel and sharing time with family and friends. Their family home always had a open door and all were welcome. She will be fondly remembered as being the ultimate cook. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Reynolds Community Club, Prawda, Manitoba. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the hall. Interment will follow at Birch River Cemetery in Medika, MB. Special thanks to the staff of Rest Haven Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Denise.
