Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIANNE WILMA DANYLUK May 31, 1950 - September 15, 2014 With sadness we announce the passing of Marianne Wilma Danyluk on Monday, September 15, 2014, at home near Oakbank, after a four-year struggle with Multiple Myeloma. Marianne is survived by husband Bruce; daughters Angie and Kate-Lyn, and Kate-Lyn's husband Steven; and sister Debbie and her husband Alfie. She was predeceased by her younger brother Barry in 2010. Born in Winnipeg, Marianne was the first child of Wally and Kay Kerr, and was raised in the Norwood area. She worked for the Manitoba Health Services Commission and then joined Manitoba Blue Cross, where she remained for 33 years. Marianne was known for her positive outlook, ever-present laugh, and concern for others. She made many friends, some of whom have been friends for decades. We thank Marianne's doctors, Dr. V. Dao and Dr. J. Gingerich, at CancerCare Manitoba (Health Sciences Centre), and their nurses, for their very capable care. We also wish to thank the exceptional staff in the CancerCare Treatment Room, transplant coordinator Tracy Robinson, and nurse Ainsley Kullman for her compassion and counsel regarding end-of-life issues. When no further treatment was possible, we brought Marianne home to be with her family, friends and pets. We thank the Palliative Care nurses and home care staff serving the Oakbank area for making Marianne's last days as comfortable as possible. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Monday, September 22, at 2:00 p.m. at The Church At Pine Ridge, Garven Road at Highway #207, in the RM of Springfield. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to make a donation in Marianne's memory to Myeloma Canada, P.O. Box 326, Kirkland, QC, H9H 0A4. Tel (toll-free): 1-888-798-5771. I consider myself to be one of the lucky ones to have had Marianne as my supervisor for many years at Blue Cross. Her supportive and caring nature was truly a gift to me when I first arrived in her department. So heartwarming to know that her final days were spent at home with the loving support and care of her family. - Posted by: Kathy Jenken (Co-worker) on: Sep 22, 2014

Marianne's father and my mother were siblings. As is obvious from the fact that I didn't even know about Marianne's health problems we had not kept in touch in recent years. But when we were young we had some good times with our city cousins when we came in or they came to the farm. Marianne had the greatest laugh. My sincere condolences to Bruce, Angie, Kate-Lyn and Debbie. - Posted by: Wendy Barker (Cousin) on: Sep 21, 2014
