GLADYS PRISCILLA WATT After a long, fulfilling life, our beloved Mum, Nanny, and life companion passed away at age 94 on Friday, September 19, 2014. Her memory will be cherished by Len Cann, daughters Doreen Horne and family, Elaine (John) Ring and family, and son Ian and family. She was predeceased by her husband Ian Watt, son-in-law Doug Horne, and daughter-in-law Heather Watt. All her life Gladys was an energetic, astute and fun loving person. Whether it was caring for the family home on Lansdowne, working at the job she loved at North Winnipeg YMCA, curling with a passion, belonging to the West Kildonan Legion, or working on her beautiful quilts and afghans, she was always on the go. Len and Gladys' favourite place was Matlock where friends and family had wonderful times and Gladys spent hours in her garden. Her caring personality attracted friends wherever she went. Nanny gave all of her grand, great and great-great-grandchildren unconditional love and support. We want to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at the Maples Personal Care Centre. A celebration of her life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Friday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. If you wish, donations in Gladys' memory can be made to the charity of your choice. 204-586-8044

  • I am so sorry for your loss guys - I truly loved Gladys and will truly miss her. Even in her sickness when I would visit her at Maples she still had that wonderful contagious smile that would light up the whole room.
