I had the pleasure of working with Fred back in the 70's with the St. Boniface Parks and Recreation Dept. He was a pleasure to work with and a fun guy to be around. All of his Park Staff had a great deal of respect for him. Loved it when he brought us up to date with the latest episode of Faulty Towers. My condolences to Gerry and the Mestdagh Family. - Posted by: John Mirus (Friend/Co-worker) on: Nov 04, 2014

Known as Uncle Fred to me and my sister, a friend of my father's since grade school, and his best man. He was a constant friend to my father through health and illness; a support to my mother in her widowhood and a man of integrity and encouragement all my life. Uncle Fred always had a smile and an encouraging word with his lovely wife Gerry at his side. Many good memories with the Winnipeg Cardinals, out at the Vi Li MI miles in Anola and at his beautiful home in Windsor Park. Also memories of our visits in San Diego and Palm Springs. I will always remember you for your smile and your laugh, the chocolates you would bring Dad and the support you were to my Mum after Dad died! Forever remembered, never forgotten. - Posted by: Debra thoroski (family friend) on: Oct 21, 2014
