In keeping with Carol's wishes cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Transcona Country Club at 2070 Dugald Road. With a heavy, heavy heart, I offer my sincerest condolences. Carol was such an amazing person with the most infectious laugh. I met Carol when I moved to Winnipeg at 17 years old, she took me under her wing and taught me everything I ever needed to know about life, how to make coffee, cook anything, drive (her old blue Pinto), and the list goes on and on. I will forever cherish these memories and be eternally grateful for having the pleasure of knowing such an amazing woman. I feel blessed to have Kristin for a daughter who reminds me so much of her Auntie Carol, and a son (Allan) who came into this world with Carol's encouragement in the delivery room. On behalf of myself and my family, Julien, Gabriel and Joel, I wish to express our sincere sorrow at the loss of beautiful Carol and our condolences to Laurette and all your family. I remember her beautiful sparkly eyes and her sweet sweet, good natured disposition. It has been a long time since our paths have crossed but Carol has remained in my heart as a very special person.
