RICK WILDE It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Rick, at his home on October 20, 2014 at the age of 64 years. Rick is survived by his son Jeff (Trish) and granddaughter Kendra. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters Bruce (Sharon), Cliff (Carolyn), Nancy, Kathy (Bob), Glen (Sheila), Barb (Tony), Diane (Bill), Judy (Kevin), many nieces and nephews who thought the world of him, aunts, uncles, cousins, sister- in-law Dee (Charlie) and his good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Joyce and his beloved partner Bev Hiebert. Rick was born on August 21, 1950 and grew up in Oak Bank with his large family. He was a talented, meticulous carpenter, animal lover, avid sports fan and master of growing tomatoes. He was sarcastic with a dry sense of humour, but most importantly, he was a wonderful friend who would stop everything to lend a helping hand and give the shirt off his back. He took great pride in his 1987 Chevy truck and enjoyed drag racing in Gimli with Bev. A celebration of Rick's life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at Seasons Funeral Chapel 576 Balsam Crescent in Oak Bank. A private family interment will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's memory can be made to a charity close to your heart. www.seasonsfunerals.ca

Sorry to hear about Rick's passing. Rick was certainly a friend who helped me out many times when I lived in Oakbank in the 60s and 70s. I loved our walks with Herman and Sam around Oakbank in the midst of winter and then heading to the hockey shack to warm up. He was certainly a kind soul. - Posted by: Robert Jacques (Friend) on: May 02, 2015

My best laughs in life was when I was with Rick. He will never be forgotten by the Colbert family. I would always stop at the car show when I saw the orange chevy truck. And talk to Rick for hours. I will truly miss those moments with him. My condolences to Rick's entire family. - Posted by: Garry Colbert (Friend) on: Nov 06, 2014

Many good memories going back to when I first knew Rick in high school high. We reconnected a number of times since. He always had a good sense of humor. Just enough cynicism, sarcasm and satiric edge, whether it was directed at himself or others. I will miss that. My condolences. - Posted by: Neil Carrette (friend) on: Nov 01, 2014
