Judite passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 72 years old after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Her memory will forever be cherished by her loving husband Joao, her only child Elizabeth (Henry), grandchildren Miranda, Matthew and Madelyn; her brothers and sisters; Maria de Lourdes (Ilidio), Matilda (José), Armando (Helen), Juliana (Manuel), Idalina (Fernando), Manuel Antônio (Barbara), Jorge (Charlene), Mario (Conceiçao), and Esmeralda (Ceasar). She was predeceased by her parents Maria José and Manuel Camara, sister Ramona and brother-in-law Jorge Branco. Judite was born on October 17, 1942 in Sao Miguel, Açores Portugal. She immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in 1964. A few years later, Joao also came to Canada and they were married on April 29, 1967. She would give birth to her daughter Elizabeth the following year. Judite enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored so much. She enjoyed having her family over every Sunday for lunch where she would cook her delicious Portuguese cuisine. Judite had a loving heart, always thinking of others while battling her disease. Her smile, thoughtfulness, beautiful spirit and daily phone calls will be dearly missed. A sincere thank you to Dr. Fatoye, the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, staff at Health Sciences, Palliative Care, Dr. Wong, Dr. Butler at CancerCare Manitoba for their care and compassion.
