Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBENITA CACAO MENDOZA In loving memory of Benita Cacao Mendoza, who, surrounded by her family, peacefully passed away on October 29, 2014 at Seven Oaks General Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Mariano Mendoza. Compassionate mother to Marcello, Procela, Myrna, Rosalinda, and Laarni. Cherished grandmother to Edwin, Edna, Edward, Edralyn, Edmira, Edisa, Tim, Jonotan, Clifford, Gail, Glenn, Lizelle, Allan, and Justin. Survived also by her siblings Isabel and Rosauro and many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Maria and Jacinto, her siblings Florentino and Herman, and her grandchildren Editha and Edrian. Benita was born on March 24, 1927 in Aya, Talisay, Batangas, Philippines. She moved to Canada in 1980 with her husband and daughters, where she lived a full and joyous life, inspiring all with her contagious smile and her dedication to family and to our Lord Jesus Christ. Benita's memory will be cherished by all those whose lives she touched. We love you "Lola" and we will never forget you. Lamay (Viewing) will take place on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to midnight at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrew Street. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Benita's family would like to extend a special thank you to the team at Seven Oaks General Hospital for the exceptional assistance they provided. Thank you also to all the thoughtful and supportive staff that had cared for Benita in the past.
