MAGDALENA BEITZ
Date of Passing: Dec 25, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAGDALENA (HELEN) BEITZ Our "dearest Mum" fell asleep in death December 25, 2014 at 87 Helen shared a loving marriage through 65 years with Audie (Adam) until his death parted them in 2012. We, their daughters, Cathy and Cindy miss our loving parents, our friends! No matter how old we got, they always called us the "girls". Helen's parents, Frank and Katharina Loch taught her to work hard and share generously. She loved being an usherette at the College and Tower theatres. Her Ma encouraged Bible study and Mum became one of Jehovah's Witnesses, living by the Bible's good teachings and sharing them with love and respect. It was our family strength. Mum and Daddy loved dancing, whether going out with family and friends or having them over. She taught us to learn the words of songs and gift them with meaning. Her friendship with Anne Olynyk was special, even when time passed, they picked up conversation easily. She loved trips to the lake and across the border, enjoying Daddy's driving and glad when we girls got a license because she was happy being a passenger. Mum and Cathy enjoyed bargain shopping together. She lovingly sewed buttonholes by hand even when we showed her how to do so on the sewing machine. She liked knitting with the family dog beside her under the bobbing knitting needles. Mum and Cindy enjoyed being creative in the kitchen. Helen enjoyed baking and liked to set a plate of cuban lunch between the smiles of Daddy and the late Garry Robertson. Garry and the late Joe Woytko were a special part of our family circle helping care for Mum's health concerns even when their own health was failing. Joe said she's a "sweet" heart. She loved pet lamb Nancy, white "Cat", and all family dogs. Winter was her favourite season, but it was always summer inside her hug. She leaves her love with remaining family: brother Frank and wife Rose's daughter Marilyn Hill, husband Jamie and son Nicholas; niece Darlene Beitz, sisters-in-law Mary Yunyk and family, Elsie Beitz and family; numerous nieces and nephews. For their help in Mum's life, special thank you to Veronica Kolody, Steve Klaprat, Dr. D.M. Miller and his nurse Linda, Kildonan Personal Care Centre staff and residents and their families and friends who befriended Mum and her family! Mum always cared to put others first, ever shy, always beautiful, well liked and loved. She held dear the Bible's hope of resurrection to healthy life on paradise earth and Mum would ask to share her comfort with you - "The meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." - Psalm 37:11. No service planned. Private family interment has taken place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

Loss of family is painful even when age overwhelms us. An emptiness remains. They now rest from they’re efforts in God's great waiting room. Heartfelt expressions of sympathy and encouragement towards Cindy and Cathy as they continue on life’s path with all its challenges in maintaining their faith hope love strength courage endurance and patience. Many have put life’s fulfillment on hold as we endeavour to respond to our lords direction to seek and pursue kingdom interests first then receive its blessings. May you both be blessed for your heartfelt endeavour in being “the girls” from which the song Solomon was inspired to lament. - Posted by: Carey Hartig (Friends ) on: Aug 25, 2023

Hi Cathy and Cindy, tho it's been a long time since we have seen you, Ann Slobodzian has been keeping us up todate with news. We were very sad to hear of the death of Helen( as we knew her). She was always a warm, kindhearted sister, who we became good friends with when we lived in Canada. I well remember her encouragement in the field ministry when we worked together. May Jehovah continue to strengthen you both at this sad time, our thoughts and prayers are with you, warm Christian love, Pat and Don Dixie.x - Posted by: Pat and Don Dixie (Friends from the 60s) on: Jan 04, 2015
