Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYNNE A. BOOTES It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lynne on January 10, 2015. Lynne was predeceased by her father Richard Barker, mother Jessie Barker, and sister Jackie Barker. Lynne will be deeply missed by her husband Frank Bootes, son Harry Mahood, daughter-in-law Sarah, and grandchildren Brittany, Jessica, Jason, Max and Colin. Lynne was born May 19, 1942 in Winnipeg, MB. At an early age Lynne embarked on an industrious family and work life. Lynne worked for Marr's Leisure Products (Winnipeg) in the late 1970s and early 1980s and concluded her professional career as the Director of Food Services of Betel Home (Gimli, MB). Lynne had an extensive service background with the Legion's Women Auxiliary, variety of youth sports and was a strong supporter of many foundations with a special place in her heart for the Winnipeg Humane Society. Lynne had a special talent for arts and crafts. When not with family or at work, Lynne could be found applying her great talents in sewing, ceramics, art decorations and computer graphics. These projects were always directed to making lives, occasions and holidays just a bit more special. Her greatest love was her family. Always loved, never forgotten. Services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. In lieu of gifts or flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
