• Dear Janice & Dennis, my heart goes out to you both at this time. I was shocked to hear just today, your dad had passed away, as I wasn't aware he was sick. I remember the last day I saw you jogging down Westwood, Janice, and you told me he was married and moved out of this area. I'm glad he found someone to love & care for him, as everyone says: he was a nice, gentle man & good friend. Take care of each other, all of you. • To the Geekie family past and present. I am sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Tom for 10 years before I moved on to Edmonton. I then had the privilege of working with him again on CFL games and it was always a pleasure. He was real easy to work with and was always a gentleman with a friendly smile. • I knew Tom only briefly. He was a man that made a positive impression and contribution very quickly, and to all around him, never playing favorites. He had a great smile and generosity. A handsome, caring, energetic, compassionate human being - always time to listen to my stories and Tom to share his stories particularly from his CBC days. Jean, Tom and I had our weekly Friday night "story times" over our "glass" of wine which will never be forgotten and very much appreciated. • I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Tom as "one of the good guys" of CBC. That means much more than it sounds and other former CBC people will know how much it says. I don't remember him ever having anything other than a smile on his face as though he had just heard a good joke 2 minutes earlier and was still chuckling.
