Tante Diane, it's only been two weeks since I've held your hand and even though I can't hold it anymore, you will always hold a piece of my heart. Every time I try to steal an extra cookie, I will hear your voice making me feel like a little kid and I'll smile and think of you. And every time I feel like the group of people that I'm with is having a good time and enjoying watching them, whether it's a birthday party or any other family gathering, I will feel your hand squeeze the back of my neck and smile, because I will remember that look you had that you were watching the people you loved too! - Posted by: Rosanna (Niece) on: Jan 24, 2015

Diane was a member of CUPE Local 2348 and I got to know her through Local meetings. We discovered later that her nephew Dean and my son Zane were best friends having met at Elmwood High. Diane was a calming and dignified presence and I was glad to have had the opportunity to know her and work with her. My condolences to family and colleagues and friends. - Posted by: Roger Procyk (CUPE colleague) on: Jan 17, 2015

I worked with Diane for many years when I was on the Board of the OHC. Her caring for working people in need was very transparent and always at the top of her mind. She was such a conscientious and kind person that she was a joy to work with. Since I am out of the country I will be unable to attend the celebration of her life but please know my thoughts are with everyone there and I send my condolences along to her family. - Posted by: Susan Hart-Kulbaba (Former Co-worker) on: Jan 14, 2015

Diane was my inspiration and support for completing the national exam. At the Manitoba Occupational Health Nurse Interest group of which she was an active member, she never failed to inspire and challenge us to do our best in the care and safety for our clients. She was always positive, helping and caring. MOHNIG and myself personally will feel her loss greatly. - Posted by: Heather Temple RN, BN COHN(C) (Colleague in Occupational Health Nursing) on: Jan 14, 2015

Diane will be so missed at the OHC. I first met her when she would come into the lounge upstairs to get lunch. She always made my day with how friendly & kind she was. We always talked about losing weight together. She was good at making you feel better when you struggled. When I left the lounge I would see her at Health and safety events. I always looked forward to it because she always had a smile on her face and made you feel great to be around her. I hurt myself once at an event and she made sure I was okay before she left me alone. She even called me a couple of days later to see if I was still okay. Diane was a very special lady and I will miss seeing her. To her family I'm so sorry for your loss. Just know that she was special to a lot of people. Hugs!! - Posted by: Marjorie Jenkins (Friend) on: Jan 14, 2015
