Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA TROCHIM (nee SABANSKI) It is with heavy hearts and extreme sadness we the family announce the peaceful passing of Stella, with her family by her side, on Thursday, January 29, 2015, after a brief battle with cancer. Mom is survived by her children Lyle, Jan (Alan), Diane (Ken), Karen (Brian), Russ (Noreen); grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Darah; step-granddaughters Brittany and Alexe, sister Bernice; sisters-in-law Ann, Nell, Stella; brothers-in-law Leonard (Reva) and Dan (Elaine), and cousins, nephews and nieces. Stella was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, their daughter Gayle, her parents Stanley and Aniela, sister Evelyn, and brothers Ludwick and Rudy. Mom was born November 6, 1928 in Sanford, MB. Mom received her education in Sanford before moving to Winnipeg where she met and married her loving husband Bill, of 56 years on July 12, 1952. Mom spent her early years raising her family before returning back to work at The Bay. Mom was a very kind, loving, caring and generous lady. She was well respected by all who knew her and was happiest spending time with family and friends. Mom loved gardening, cooking, baking and knitting. Mom will be dearly missed but will be forever remembered. Her spirit will live on within each person her life touched. Rest in Peace Lady Bug. A memorial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception center. The family would like to thank the wonderful health care professionals at the Riverview Health Centre for their compassion and care provided to Mom over the past weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
