I was one of Clifford's teachers at M.S.D. I fondly remember him as a small boy taking out his 2 carefully selected library books. He was a source of enthusiasm and mischief when he was in my English class in high school. Clifford had the gift of great intensity which he used to great advantage in sports. I remember seeing him perhaps 10 years ago now and when asked about his family, he just beamed. He was a very proud papa. My condolences to all his family and friends. - Posted by: Holly Barkman (Teacher at M.S.D.) on: Feb 11, 2015

I met Cliff many years back when I was a teen dating my husband, Sean Lehmann. Cliff was a regular visitor to the Lehmann household and he always brought with him a pleasant joyfulness and great sense of humour. At that time I was interested in sign language and was taking some classes, Cliff was always a wonderfully patient and willing person to practice sign language with. I have many a fond memories of Cliff and our visits at the Lehmann household. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones. - Geni Lehmann - Posted by: Eugenia (Geni) Lehmann (Family Friend ) on: Feb 10, 2015

My deepest sympathy to his family, especially his children for loss of a wonderful father. I knew him as we both went to Manitoba School for the Deaf. We shared lot of good memories. He was thrilled when he was asked to join on Canadian Association of the Deaf (CAD) Board as National Aboriginal Director for short time. He really enjoyed working with Northern Manitoba by educating them about Deaf accessibility needs. I knew he was so proud of playing curling as he really loved it so much. He will be sadly missed by lot of Deaf Canadians across Canada. Rest in peace, Cliff! - Posted by: Sheila (Carlin) Montney (Friend and colleaugue) on: Feb 09, 2015

My condolences to all of his family. Cliff lived out in my area. He and his family were very nice people. When Cliff won his spot to represent Canada. He stopped in to see if Wayne could be their coach. He gave Cliff some names. I cannot believe this has happened we were just talking with him about 3 weeks ago. God speed Cliff. Now you will be curling in heaven. - Posted by: Bonny and Wayne (Friend and Neighbor) on: Feb 08, 2015

I knew Cliff through many years of curling at Deer Lodge Curling Club on Thursday nights. He was a fierce competitor that was always at the top of the league and he played every game as though it was a Provincial final. We developed a friendly rivalry with them that I will truly miss. He was very excited to be going to Russia, something that obviously will not happen now and my heart goes out to his family and his team. You left us way too soon Cliff and the "boys" on Thursday nights will miss you and your goofy hat on the ice!!! God speed my friend!! - Posted by: Sean McCreary (Friend and competitor) on: Feb 07, 2015
